Tiina Kiik is an accordionist and teacher residing in Toronto. She is equally at home in classical, folk and improvised music. She holds an ARCT (Performance) in Accordion from the Royal Conservatory of Music, and a B.Sc. (Honours) from the University of Toronto.  Since 1995, she has taught accordion, piano and chamber music at the University Settlement Music and Arts School. She has worked extensively in Toronto area Long Term Care and seniors centers providing music programs and sing-alongs since 1989. She has performed together with vocalist Rosemarie Lindau for decades, and she has performed both solo/ensemble for countless Estonian community events. Other performances include Birth of Troubling Forms, Somewhere There Creative Music Festival, Art in the Atrium, Soulpepper Theatre, Audiopollination, Tapestry New Opera and Dusk Dances, and touring both Canada and internationally with the Polka Dogs and the Double Wind Cello Trio. She co-created Zolla! for solo dancer and accordion with choreographer/dancer Julia Aplin.  Tiina is a regular contributor of CD reviews to WholeNote Magazine.  She is thrilled to be to be back at the Estonian Music Festival this year performing the Udo  Kasemets solo accordion composition he wrote for her in 1993!
